Dear Parents,

My name is Catherine. I will be your kids’ English teacher this semester. I have been teaching English for over 15 years in Taiwan. Teaching is something that I enjoy doing very much. I look at teaching not just as a job but as a great way of helping minds develop, learn and grow. I consider myself to be very good in everything I do. I''ve taught students from kindergarten, elementary and junior to senior high school, also tutor adults as well and covered variety of topics such as vocabulary, grammar, writing, phonics, and conversation. I have always enjoyed the challenge of teaching proper grammar and having my students discover the why behind the how. And connecting with them on a more mature level is special. I am also quite zealous about learning more about my subject matter and questioning whether something is right or wrong. I am often on the Internet researching various points that I may not be 100% sure about.

您好！我是Teacher Catherine，很高興能擔任貴子弟的中籍美語老師。
我已經投入這英語教學這領域長達15年的時間,我個人對於教學的工作非常喜歡，英語教學對我而言不只是份工作,更是一種幫助心智心靈成長與學習的良方,我常自我期許與要求希望能在課堂上做到盡善,了解每個孩子的差異,讓每個孩子享受學習,在美語教學這領域我授課對象非常廣泛,年齡層從幼稚園,國小,國中到成人家教,教授的科目包含:單字,文法,寫作,發音和會話.
由深知學海無涯，且成為一個教育工作者更要不斷地充實自己，於是常抽空參加美語教學相關的師訓及座談會以豐富我的教學，迄今累積許多教學經驗。學如逆水行舟，不進則退，我亦鼓勵孩子們認真向學並從經驗中學習。當然，學好英文的過程中一步一步建立自己的信心是很重要的，而同時，營造一個輕鬆又自在的學習氣氛，讓孩子快樂上課，有效學習，更是我的理念。
